DAY 1: Arrival at Bhitarkanika

Check into Resort at around Noon. After fresh n up, complete your lunch. After lunch, visit a nearby village or spend time on the Bank of River Brahmani. Have some tea/coffee in the evening. After dinner, have a tight sleep at night.

DAY 2: Bhitarkanika Jungle Safari

After Breakfast, drop at Khola forest gate to board on boat for Mangrove Forest Safari. Enjoy serpentine creeks, watch out for birds, remarkably different varieties of Kingfishers, egrets, Bramhani Kites, eagles etc. Get down at Bagagahan Bird Sanctuary. Climb the watch Tower. Look for Pelicans and various types of Storks. Visit Bhitarkanika Forest Block. Visit Old Temple, Lotus Pond, Hunting Tower of yesteryear rulers. Climb the Watch Tower. You might see Wild Boar, Spotted Deer, Jungle cat, and birds also. Later, visit Dangmal Crocodile Breeding and Research centre. Look for different crocodiles kept there. Visit the Interpretation cum Museum also. Return to Resort. Have your lunch. Spend an evening on the Bank of River Brahmani. Watch the beautiful Sunset. Have some tea/coffee in the evening. After dinner, have a good night.

DAY 3 :Trip to Kalibhanjadiha, Udabali

Complete your Breakfast by 8:00 AM. Arrive Nalitapatia ghat (only 300 meters walk from Resort) to board on boat to visit Kalibhanjadiha, Dhamarai Temple, Dhamra Port, and Udabali sea Beach. Enjoy a boat ride through creeks and river. Packed lunch will be served on the boat. Return around 4 PM. Have some tea/coffee in the evening. Complete your Dinner by 9:30 PM. After dinner, have a good night sleep.

DAY 4: Departure

After Breakfast, check out from Resort. Start for return/ onward journey. Tour Ends with sweet memories.

Bhitarkanika National Park is the 2nd-largest mangrove forests in India. Many rivers like Brahmani, Baitarni, Dhamra etc., which cascade across the reserve forest, support the forest’s biodiversity. Here you will be impressed by crocodiles. Yes, Bhitarkanika National Park in Orissa is known for saltwater crocodiles, which are around 16ft in length. Tourists are prohibited from going near the river banks inside the national park. Indeed, you cannot go without a tourist guide. Bhitarkanika Forest is famous for the species of reptiles. You can also see a white crocodile, Indian Python, monitor lizards, and several snakes, along with the saltwater crocodiles. Due to the abundance of water, it is also home to avifauna, resident birds, and migratory birds flock around the forest. Bhitarkanika National Park is one of the places that are best for bird lovers. It also gets migratory birds in winter, which is also the best season to visit the place. Tourists see other animals such as chitals, jackals, sambar deer, rhesus monkeys, spotted deer, wild boars, wolves and hyenas, jungle cats.

Bhitarkanika National Park is close to Gahirmatha Beach and Marine Sanctuary, famous as Olive-Ridley Turtles’ nesting place in Odisha, India. Tourists are given a boat tour, and this is fun. Facilities in Bhitarkanika

Bhitarkanika has a small eatery inside which serves decent food. Tourists can stay at night in the Forest Guest House inside the national park but must reserve beforehand. Visitors have to book for boats to go inside the park.

How to Reach

Tourists have to reach Cuttack, which is around 140km from Bhitarkanika National Park. You can take either a bus, a train or a cab from Cuttack to get to Bhadrak. Bhitarkanika is around 70km from Bhadrak.

  • Any cancellation at 45 Days prior to arrival date – No charge
  • Any cancellation between 45 Days – 30 Days prior to arrival date: 25% of tour fare charge
  • Any cancellation between 30 Days – 15 Days prior to arrival date: 50% of tour fare charge
  • Any cancellation between 15 Days – 10 Days prior to arrival date: 75% of tour fare charge
  • Any cancellation less than 10 Days: 100% of tour fare charge.
